How to Add Button Bars in Dragon1
In the video 'Get Started – Step 13: Add Button Bars', you learn how to add interactive button bars to your visualizations. These button bars allow users to filter or display specific elements based on attributes like “Domain” or “Status,” making the visualization more dynamic and user-friendly.
What happens in the video?
- Open the Collaboration Application: Select the visualization you want to edit.
- Edit the Visualization: Click the "Edit" button to open edit mode.
- Add a Button Bar: In the “Button bar name” field, enter a comma-separated list like
Domains,HR,IT,Finance,Marketing,showHideAttributeValue
. - Set the Button Bar Position: Use the “Button bar position” field (e.g.,
bottom right
). - Save and View: Click “Save & Close” to apply the changes.
Key Notes:
- Maximum of four buttons per button bar.
- If you leave a label blank, no button is generated for that slot.
- To disable the button bar, enter
None
in the “Button bar name” field.
When a button is clicked, only the entities matching that attribute (e.g., Domain = "HR") are shown. This feature is handy for interactive architecture models and dashboards.
