Link URL

A link URL is a forwarding setting for an entity in case you double click on it. You can use static links and dynamic links (with a parameter).

You can set the Link URL in the Text Attributes of the Inspector as follows:

  • Select an entity
  • Type in a link url in the text field

Link URL Options

You have the following options for Link URL

  • https: - Enter a correct https link, to be forwarded in a new window to that url on a double click.
  • http: - Enter a correct http link, to be forwarded in a new window to that url on a double click.
  • visualization - Enter Visualization:[id], for instance Visualization:1204117. You are forwarded in the current window to that visualization on a double click.
  • view - Enter View:[id], for instance View:10673. You are forwarded in the current window to that view on a double click.
  • model - Enter Model:[id], for instance Model:336643. You are forwarded in the current window to that model on a double click.
  • frame - Enter Frame:[id], for instance Frame:5. You are forwarded in the current window to that frame on a double click.
  • layer - Enter Layer:[id], for instance Layer:7. You are forwarded in the current window to that layer on a double click.

Dynamic URL Links

You can work with parameterized links. All you need to do is to add the attribute name between parenthesis (). For instance View:12345(applicationid). If you do this, on a double click, Dragon1 will pass the value or values for that attribute to the view. In the view you can make use of the value in any way you want.

Activate URL Links

To activate the URL Links, i.e. make the entities clickable, switch the Playerbar to NORMAL mode. After that the entities react on your double click.
