Example in preparing a business case
Increasingly, architects and managers are responsible for preparing a business case before a tool is purchased. From PAAUWE we offer an example for writing a business case for Dragon1 Enterprise Architecture Toolbox, the EA tool for creating architectural visualizations for each target group in the organization.
Would you like to have more interesting work as an enterprise architect than just relate processes with applications and servers as block diagrams in a PowerPoint file, you should be able to reuse concepts, elements and components from a repository in a new model. You should also be able to create different views and perspectives of that model, tailored to the audience. If you have any tool, the time available for this is often too short and allows opportunities that are so up for grabs.
Who does not know the manager who needs all time to create reports in Excel and then no longer has time to manage on these reports, which are also often inconsistent, because Excel is simply no reliable database or reporting tool.
These arguments work for more organizations, managers and architects to buy Dragon1 Enterprise Architecture Toolbox. But does it also work with your organization? What is your motivation?
- Interchangeable and reusable architecture products?
- Understandable and better visual results?
- Better and more collaboration with other architects?
- More control over the use of architecture in projects?
- Pursuing on communication of architecture and design?
